Albert Morales is an executive with management, finance and legal expertise in the energy, manufacturing and infrastructure industries. Al has acted as corporate attorney, investment banker, President, COO and CFO: this diversity of experience allows him to provide a 360-degree view of the challenges and solutions facing growing companies. His successful track record of company-building, project deployment and change management has included private equity and venture capital backed companies.
Al’s industry experience principally encompasses power, cleantech and other infrastructure, including long duration energy storage, biomass power and renewable natural gas (RNG). Al also led an asset management firm ensuring compliance and maximizing value for private-equity-owned power facilities. Earlier in his career Al managed a portfolio of chemical and automotive manufacturing businesses, worked as an investment banker advising middle-market companies in the industrial manufacturing sector, and was a corporate attorney providing M&A and corporate finance legal work.
Al has a particular expertise in assisting companies push through growth inflection points. This often involves helping them “professionalize” how they work and how they present to the world; raising capital; formulating strategy; executing plans; and communicating all this to internal and external stakeholders. Al received a B.A. in Economics from Cornell University’s College of Arts & Sciences, an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School, and a J.D. from Columbia Law School where he was on the Board of Editors of the Columbia Law Review.
