I had the great pleasure of working closely with Al when I was CEO of Malta, Inc. The company needed a CFO, but what I really needed was someone with a broad skill set to help me launch a young company with a novel technology into a nascent market. Not only did Al fulfill all you’d expect of a CFO, but he also provided leadership across corporate strategy, capital formation (corporate and project levels), stakeholder relations and team leadership. He led our Series C raise and was key in crafting our narrative and presentations. He also helped lead planning and execution of the company’s technology and commercial pivot, including identifying and assessing strategic pathways; modeling financial outcomes of numerous scenarios; communicating options and recommendations to key stakeholders; and executing the selected course of action. He’s a pleasure to work with, and I look forward to working with him again.
